Clarksons Platou Shipbroking represents the world’s largest shipowning companies and charterers in the transportation of the world’s commodities by sea across all major sectors including: containers, deep sea tankers, dry cargo, LPG and Ammonia, LNG, offshore, petrochemical gasses, short sea and coastal and specialised products. Its brokers arrange the contracting of newbuildings, secondhand sale and purchase and demolition of vessels as well as the financing of specialised assets employed in the development and production of offshore oil and gas fields.
The Group’s Financial division is engaged in providing risk management strategies and products for the shipping markets, debt restructuring, corporate finance and equity research for the global maritime, oil services and natural resources sectors.
Clarkson Research Services is the market leader in providing authoritative information on all aspects of shipping and the offshore industry. Data is available on over 100,000 vessels either in service or on order, 10,000 companies and 600 shipyards as well as extensive trade and commercial data, and over 100,000 time series.
