The Shipowners’ Club, the leading P&I insurer in the smaller and specialist vessel sector, has entered into a strategic partnership with Svensk Assurans AB, the specialist marine underwriting agency based in Sweden.
The partnership will see Svensk Assurans AB, who currently specialise in limited hull Total Loss Only (TLO), war and mortgages interests, offer a new P&I product through a delegated underwriting agreement with the Shipowners’ Club.
Svensk Assurans AB is a recently established underwriting agency who underwrite on behalf of Travelers and is based out of offices in Gothenberg and Vaxholm, Sweden.
Simon Swallow, Chief Executive of the Shipowners’ Club, commented: “This strategic partnership offers a new and exciting opportunity for the Club to expand our presence in Scandinavia and we look forward to working closely with Ove and his team based in Sweden to offer our P&I insurance in these mature markets.
