London International Shipping Week 2027 (LISW27) has announced the appointment of Jos Standerwick, Chief Executive of Maritime London, as Chair of the LISW27 Steering Group.
He replaces John Hulmes, who steps down after eight years in the position.
Welcoming Mr Standerwick’s appointment, Sean Moloney, co-Founder and co-CEO of LISW, said: “I am delighted that the Steering Group approved Jos’ appointment. Jos will bring significant industry expertise to this important role and will build on the excellent work he did in 2021 and 2023 as Chair of the LISW Headline Conference Working Group.”
In addition to his role as Chief Executive of Maritime London, Mr Standerwick also sits on the UK Maritime Advisory Group, is a Council Member of the Baltic Exchange and trustee of the Maritime London Officer Cadet Scholarship programme.
Accepting the appointment, Mr Standerwick said: “It is a privilege to be taking the helm of the LISW Steering Group from John Hulmes. John’s calm hand on the tiller has seen LISW traverse the uncertainty of the pandemic and grow into a shipping week that has a unique identity and serves as a great example of how industry can work together with the support of government. I look forward to working with Shipping Innovation, The Department of Transport and my fellow colleagues on the Steering Group, to ensure LISW goes from strength to strength.”
Shipping Innovation recently confirmed that London International Shipping Week 2027 (LISW27) will run from 13–17 September 2027 across the UK capital, uniting global leaders from shipping, finance, regulation, insurance, ports and technology for a week of high-level dialogue and deal-making.
