Lloyd’s List Intelligence launches Satellite Intelligence Report to deliver verified maritime evidence on demand

Posted on: 12 February 2026

Lloyd’s List Intelligence has today announced the launch of Satellite Intelligence Report, a new on-demand capability designed to help legal, claims, and compliance teams resolve high-risk maritime cases with greater confidence and clarity.

Developed in partnership with SynMax, Satellite Intelligence Report delivers expert-verified maritime intelligence derived from a multi-layered data fusion methodology. Reports combine satellite imagery with radio frequency data and contextual intelligence databases, ensuring vessel activity is verified through the cross-validation of multiple intelligence streams rather than reliance on a single source.

As maritime incidents become more complex and scrutiny intensifies, organisations increasingly require evidence that goes beyond AIS data or standalone imagery. Satellite Intelligence Report provides independently produced, time-stamped intelligence that confirms vessel presence, behaviour, and activity, supporting investigations into collisions, spoofing, dark vessel operations, and disputed liability cases.

By integrating multiple data sources and expert analysis, our service identifies discrepancies between reported and actual vessel behaviour, reducing uncertainty and strengthening the defensibility of decisions in legal, regulatory, and insurance contexts.

Satellite Intelligence Report is available on demand via Seasearcher and is designed to integrate seamlessly into existing investigative workflows. Customers can request intelligence tied to a specific location and date, with transparent pricing options based on the level of analysis required. Charges apply only when imagery is usable, ensuring clarity and confidence without unnecessary cost exposure.

“Through our partnership with SynMax, Lloyd’s List Intelligence customers can now gain access to Satellite Intelligence Reports that go well beyond traditional imagery. By directly linking satellite data to individual vessels, this ensures customers have deeper visibility, stronger evidence, and greater confidence when investigating incidents or uncovering increasing deceptive shipping practices. We’ve valued working with SynMax’s expert team and are excited to make this powerful new capability available to our customers through Seasearcher” – Nicky Marlin – Chief Product Officer, Lloyd’s List Intelligence.

The launch of Satellite Intelligence Report reinforces Lloyd’s List Intelligence’s commitment to delivering trusted, expert-led maritime intelligence that supports faster decisions, stronger claims, and reduced risk across the maritime sector.
