Lloyd’s Register and Royal Caribbean Group form strategic partnership

The partnership aims to advance maritime safety and efficiency across cruise sector

Focussed on enhancing safety, innovation and sustainability across the industry, the partnership is supported by Royal Caribbean Group’s transfer of class to Lloyd’s Register of more than 25 cruise ships.

Lloyd’s Register (LR) and leading vacation company Royal Caribbean Group announced today at Seatrade Cruise Global in Miami, a strategic partnership aimed at driving safety, innovation, and sustainability across the cruise industry.

Representing a long-term shared commitment to enhancing safety, regulatory compliance, operational efficiency and sustainability across the cruise industry, the partnership aims to set new benchmarks for excellence and environmental responsibility.

Under this partnership, LR will provide expert classification, risk management, and technical consultancy services to ensure Royal Caribbean Group’s fleet remains at the forefront of maritime safety and efficiency. This includes overseeing the transfer of more the 25 ships into LR class and integrating Marine Management Systems and Ship Emergency Response Services.
