WFW advise ABN AMRO on US$200m loan facility to Aurora LPG for four vessels

International law firm Watson Farley & Williams LLP (WFW) successfully advised ABN AMRO Bank N.V. in relation to a US$200 million loan facility to be made available to Aurora LPG to finance four CBM 84,000 VLGCs under construction at Hyundai Heavy Industries.  The loan facility was signed on 20 January 2016.  Mandated lead arrangers were ABN AMRO Bank N.V. and The Export-Import Bank of Korea.

London-based partner, Michael O’Donnell led on this facility assisted by senior associate, Gary Walsh. Simonsen Vogt Wiig provided the Norwegian law assistance.

Michael O’Donnell commented: “WFW recently acted for Credit Suisse AG on a loan facility financing another VLGC newbuilding at HHI for Aurora LPG and we were very pleased to act on this loan facility financing further growth for Aurora LPG”.
